AVCPA Professional Corp is a Canadian accounting and taxation firm with 50 to 80 employees, serving trucking companies and individuals across Canada. Their website had not kept pace with the business. The design was outdated, the functionality was thin, and there were no online forms to capture leads or handle job applications. The overall impression did not reflect the size or professionalism of the firm.
The goal of this project was to change that entirely. Not just a visual refresh, but a full redesign and rebuild that improved how the firm presented itself, how prospective clients engaged with it, and how the internal team managed content and incoming inquiries without needing developer involvement.
This was also a writing engagement. The existing site had content gaps that a new design alone could not solve. Persuasive copy was developed as a core deliverable alongside the design and development work.
Four challenges shaped the work on this project.
The first was the outdated design itself. The previous website created a poor first impression for a firm whose clients were making significant financial decisions. Modernising the visual identity without losing brand familiarity required careful design judgment, not just aesthetic preference.
The second was missing functionality. The site had no online forms of any kind. Prospective clients had no structured way to make an inquiry. Job applicants had no way to apply. This was a direct barrier to lead generation and operational efficiency. Building the right forms with the right fields, validation, and backend routing was a non-trivial requirement.
The third was content. A new design with weak copy produces a weak website. Persuasive, professionally written text had to be developed from scratch across all key pages, written with the firm's target audience in mind: business owners in the trucking industry and individual taxpayers looking for specialist accountants.
The fourth was scope management. The project brief was deliberately open-ended, which introduced multiple rounds of revision as requirements evolved. Delivering a consistent quality of output across extended revision cycles required discipline and clear communication throughout.
The project was delivered using the MERN stack. React.js powered the frontend, Node.js and Express.js handled the backend and API layer, MongoDB managed data storage, and Figma was used throughout the design process before development began.
The redesign started with industry research and user-focused wireframes. Every page was designed around clear calls to action, guiding visitors toward inquiry forms and contact touchpoints rather than leaving them to navigate passively.
Three distinct online forms were built and integrated: a job application form, a client inquiry form, and a quotation request form. Each fed into a secure backend with proper validation and data routing.
A custom admin panel was developed to give the client full control over their website without technical knowledge. Blog content, job applications, and client inquiries could all be managed directly through the panel. This removed the ongoing dependency on a developer for routine content changes.
All website copy was written as part of the engagement. The text was developed to communicate the firm's specialisation, build trust with prospective clients, and support the calls to action built into the design.
AVCPA Professional Corp received a modern, professional website that reflected the scale and credibility of their firm.
The three online forms immediately improved the lead generation process. Prospective clients and job applicants now had clear, structured pathways to engage with the business. Inquiries that previously required a phone call or direct email could be submitted through the site at any time.
The custom admin panel gave the client genuine operational independence. Blog posts could be published, applications reviewed, and inquiries managed entirely from within the panel, without involving a developer.
The redesign drove a 30% increase in website traffic. That traffic translated into real outcomes: more prospective client touchpoints and a stronger pipeline of conversions for the firm.
