Overview

Zapian is a Mexican consultancy founded by Andy Caraza, a business strategist with deep experience leading growth initiatives for startups and established businesses. The firm operates across three service areas: growth and funnel optimization, web and app development, and AI-driven market research.

The challenge with designing for a company like Zapian is that the brand has to do real work. Zapian sells expertise and analytical rigour to other businesses. Their website is not a brochure. It is the first piece of evidence a potential client evaluates when deciding whether to trust them with a strategic engagement. A weak or generic design undermines the credibility of the product before a single word is read.

This was a design-only engagement. The deliverable was a complete website design, from wireframes through to high-fidelity mockups, built to accurately represent what Zapian actually does and the standard to which they do it.

The Challenge

Three design challenges defined this project.

The first was translating innovation into visual language. Zapian's work is analytical and forward-looking, involving AI-driven research and data-led growth strategy. These are abstract capabilities. The design had to make them feel concrete and credible to a business visitor who arrives on the site with skepticism about consultancy claims. Every visual decision had to earn its place.

The second was communicating a data-driven identity without turning the site into a dashboard. There is a common failure mode in this category: websites for data and analytics companies that are either too sparse and cold, or too dense and technical. The design needed to convey precision and intelligence while remaining immediately accessible to a founder or executive who is evaluating options, not studying charts.

The third was usability for a specific visitor type. Zapian's audience is not a general consumer. They are business decision-makers researching a potential partner. The information architecture and navigation had to match how that visitor actually moves through a site: assessing credibility first, understanding services second, and finding a reason to make contact third.

The Solution

The design process began with a detailed requirement gathering phase. Conversations with the Zapian team surfaced their brand values, target audience profile, and the specific impression they needed the website to create. Design concepts and wireframes were developed from those inputs before any visual design work began.

The visual direction used a clean, modern layout with a disciplined typographic hierarchy and a palette that conveyed precision and professionalism. Contemporary design elements were used to signal that Zapian operates at the frontier of their field, without resorting to visual clichés that flatten the brand into a generic tech company.

The design went through iterative rounds of feedback and refinement with the Zapian team. Each round tightened the alignment between the visual output and the brand vision Andy Caraza had for the firm. The final design was produced in Figma for prototyping and handoff, with supporting work completed in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for graphics and iconography.

Results & Impact

Zapian received a complete website design that matched the standard of work they deliver to their own clients.

The visual identity established in the design positioned Zapian clearly within the competitive landscape of growth and AI consultancies, giving the brand a distinct and credible presence rather than a generic one.

The information architecture guided the target visitor type through the site in the order that builds trust: who Zapian is, what they do, and why that matters for the visitor's business. The design created a clear pathway to contact without relying on aggressive conversion tactics that would undercut the professional positioning.

The final deliverable gave the development team a fully resolved, production-ready design to build from, with no ambiguity in layout, component behavior, or visual specifications.
